An orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip preservation surgery: the range of conservative and surgical procedures aimed at avoiding or delaying joint replacement.
He is a consultant in the Hip Unit at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and Medical Director and head of the Hip Unit at Joint Clinic (Hospital El Pilar, Barcelona). In La Ràpita he leads Institut Mèdic Especialitzat, so that patients in the Terres de l'Ebre area can be assessed and followed up close to home.
His practice focuses on the hip joint, including minimally invasive approaches to hip replacement surgery. He completed further training in primary and revision reconstructive surgery, and in hip surgery for young adults (hip resurfacing), at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
